This pipe made by hand on the potters wheel, and naturally glazed by the firing process. This pipe was fired for seven days, by a crew of ten people, in a large wood fired anagama kiln, and is a beautiful demonstration of fast moving ash depositing on clay over the course of days. The alterations in color are defined by this movement of atmosphere and wood ash through the kiln, which deposits itself as glass on the surface of the pot. As it deposits in layers with every addition of wood to the kiln, it builds up unevenly across the varying surfaces of the pot and creates a wonderful assortment of colors and textures.

Comes with mesh screen.
