Wood fired bottle made by hand on the potters wheel, and then fired on its side to get the ash glaze movement around the bottle. This bottle was fired for seven days, by a crew of ten people, in a large wood fired anagama kiln, and is a beautiful demonstration of the varied color effects from the wood ash on pieces stacked sideways. The alterations in color are defined by this movement of atmosphere and wood ash through the kiln, which deposits itself as glass on the surface of the pot.
